On Fridays I share things that made me happy from the week - a photo, a song, a quote, a beauty product, a recipe, a pair of cute shoes, etc. If it's a product, sometimes it's something I actually own and sometimes something I just saw online that gave me a smile. Sometimes it's serious and sometimes it's silly. I suppose I believe that God is in the simple details of life and yes, I can even find Him
in a tube of lipstick.
Happy Friday, Friends. I had some unexpected travel this week, so I know that the billions of people who read these Friday posts are going to be terribly disappointed that I don't have five favorites this week. I imagine there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth at the city gate and now you know why.
That was sarcasm. ;-) I do appreciate any set of eyes that shows up here. I really, really do. So hello to you and have a lovely weekend and find some favorite things to celebrate and be grateful for. Here are three quick things:
Amazon wants me to remind you that Prime Days are June 21st and June 22nd and there will be all manner of deals and savings and products that we all think we need available to us in minutes. So do as you wish. I think Prime is pretty great, but Amazon is not the boss of me. My husband would argue this statement using photographic evidence of our doorstep, but I stand by it with all the delusional confidence I can muster.
The second thing is the picture of my boys from 2005 and it is the best photograph ever taken in the history of the world. Please enjoy.
The most important thing which perhaps I have mentioned a time or two is just Jesus. He's better than any jumpsuit or mascara or Netflix show that I can suggest. He's better than anyone or anything we use to fill us up. He's the only one. He's true and real and He shows up and makes us braver than we ever thought we could be. This week I was reminded (again) that He is literally the only thing I know for sure. And He's the only thing I need to know. If you don't know Him yet, I can tell you this: He knows you. Give Him a shot.
That's all. Have a great weekend! And Hook 'em Horns. Go Texas Baseball.

Great picture of your boys. And I'm totally with you on how great Jesus is!
