5 Friday Favorites: January 14, 2022

It's time for my Friday link up with  A Little Bit of Everything and Momfessionals

On Fridays I share things that made me happy from the week - a photo, a song, a quote, a beauty product, a recipe, a pair of cute shoes, etc. If it's a product, sometimes it's something I actually own and sometimes something I just saw online that gave me a smile. Sometimes it's serious and sometimes it's silly. I suppose I believe that God is in the simple details of life and yes, I can even find Him in a tube of lipstick

Happy Friday, Friends! I've still got one kid home from college so all my New Year's resolutions and trying to kick start the year off being organized and getting stuff done is kind of out the window. I'm basically still living in vacation mode since there's a kid here to watch movies with late night and to make frozen pizzas with for lunch. We really don't get dressed around here until noon. What I'm saying is I'm the newest member of Phi Gamma Delta apparently.

Here are some favorites from the week.

1. Mare of Easttown

Kyle and I have been watching Mare of Easttown and I know that we are way late to this particular show, but it's really good. Kate Winslet is my very favorite actress and, as usual, is amazing in this. It's actually a very serious show, but we can't stop laughing and saying water and cell phone over and over again with a Philly accent. Then we have to rewind to see what happened because we find ourselves hilarious. It's been very mature around here.

2. American Underdog

Joe and I saw this movie - the story of NFL Hall of Fame football player, Kurt Warner -  before he left  to go back to North Carolina after Christmas. This is one of those stories that you would say was complete fiction if you didn't already know it was true. I loved it so much. Having said that, there is no one who is more of  a sucker for a sports movie than me and this has all the things I want in a sports story. The fact that it's true makes it ten times better. Highly recommend.

3. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Here's another repeat on Friday Favorites because I really need this stuff right now. After a really warm Christmas week, it has been bitterly cold here and my lips are so chapped. This Laneige lip sleeping mask is incredible and I can't seem to find the one I had. I suspect burglary by one of my guys. I'm ordering it again today and then I'm hiding it.

4. V-Neck Oversized Cable Knit Sweater

I'm not particularly in favor of the 80s or 90s coming back, but this sweater gives me some major high school vibes and I kinda love it. It comes in three colors and makes me want to go pick up my best friend and drive around talking about boys and blasting Madonna on a cassette tape.

5. The Birdie Earrings

These are my new favorite earrings to wear everyday from Park Lane. They're small litte drop earrings that are lightweight with just the tiniest bit of sparkle.

Well, that's it for today. It hasn't been a very exciting week around here, but it's been a-ok with me. The middle kid leaves this weekend, so I guess I'll have to get back to going to bed before midnight and getting dressed like a regular grown up. Y'all have a great weekend!
