Happy Friday, Friends.
On Fridays I share things that made me happy from the week - a photo, a song, a quote, a beauty product, a recipe, a pair of cute shoes, etc. If it's a product, sometimes it's something I actually own and sometimes something I just saw online that gave me a smile. Sometimes it's serious and sometimes it's silly. I suppose I believe that God is in the simple details of life and yes, I can even find Him in a tube of lipstick.
1. Under Armour Fleece Joggers
2. Dr. Teal's Epsom Salts
Speaking of joggers, I actually did return to jogging this week after a long, inconsistent winter, although I'm not sure I was really jogging. It felt more like shuffling my feet through streets of molasses, but I did it. The problem with waiting so long to get back at it is that my legs, my feet, my ankles, my toes and even my shoulders have been so sore this week. Yesterday I spied a bag of Dr. Teal's Epsom Salts with Eucalyptus and Spearmint at the grocery store, so I dumped a whole bunch of it in a hot bath last night and it was like heaven. I seem to remember my grandmother prescribing an Epsom salt bath for just about every darn thing that ailed you and I think she was right.
3. Loft Paisley Henley Mixed Media Shell
Loft has been having some crazy good sales lately, as they usually do. Pro Tip: NEVER buy anything full price at Loft. Their sales are really great and really frequent. I've seen a ton of floral and prints on tops this season and I'm not usually a fan. However, I thought the paisley print on this top was really subtle and cute. I think it could be dressed up with a skirt or nice pants or dressed down with jeans. It's 40% off today.
4. Big Ulta Sale
Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty Sale is coming to an end and they saved the best for last. Each day for 21 days they offered a few products for 1/2 off. Tomorrow two of my favorite products, Benefit's Gimme Brow and It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara, are going to be 50% off. Online or in stores. You're welcome.
5. Baseball is back!
I've written way more words about basketball and what an amazing season it was than any human should. I will cherish the memories of this season forever and ever, but I am super excited that baseball season has started. Opening Day was last week and it found me writing with stars in my eyes and my head in the clouds about dreaming big dreams here at the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League site. Drew had a scrimmage on Wednesday in the beautiful 75 degree weather and we went for chili dogs afterwards at the Vienna Inn. Life really doesn't get much better than that. I didn't even mind buying a whole new bucket of Oxi-Clean and a huge bottle of Shout. The first tournament of the season starts this weekend and I cannot wait to watch my fierce little catcher and his buddies take the field. Play Ball!
That's all for today. Happy April and have a great weekend!
