5 Friday Favorites: January 22, 2021

It's time for my Friday link up with A Little Bit of Everything and Momfessionals. 

On Fridays I share things that made me happy from the week - a photo, a song, a quote, a beauty product, a recipe, a pair of cute shoes, etc. If it's a product, sometimes it's something I actually own and sometimes something I just saw online that gave me a smile. Sometimes it's serious and sometimes it's silly. I suppose I believe that God is in the simple details of life and yes, I can even find Him

 in a tube of lipstick.

Well, hello, everybody. How are we feeling today? At my house we are back to the Three Musketeers as the big boys are back to college. I miss those guys, but it's quieter and more routine around here which is actually pretty nice. I hope you're feeling good and calm and happy headed into this weekend and looking for some favorite things whether a pair or shoes or a pair of people or a pair of large Diet Cokes with extra ice. Here are some of my favorites from the week. 

1. Nike Quest 3 Women's Running Shoes

I bought these Nikes as a birthday gift to myself because I had two coupons from DSW so I got them for $20.00 off. I was so proud of myself. I love the black and gold because they are the boys' high school colors. Not that we've been to the high school in a bazillion days. *sigh* I'm hoping these shoes can make an appearance at a high school baseball game this spring. Let it be so, Lord. 

2. Waffle Knit Tunic Tie Knot Blouse

I really love a waffle knit tunic and this one comes in so many different colors and patterns. I like the grey camo one, too. Perfect tied with jeans or untied with leggings. Or tie it with leggings, if you wish. I'm not the boss of you. For me, however, that would be a gross misjudgment. Carry on.

3. Aromatherapy Lavender and Cedarwood Candle

My boys were all home this year for my birthday which was really special and they gave me some very sweet gifts all of which showed me that they knew their mama very well. I'm not sure I could ever get enough candles, so I was really excited to get this Lavender and Cedarwood candle. This thing smells amazing. It helped to make my house seem like a spa. I mean, if your spa includes scents of lavender and cedarwood along with a hint of Frank's Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce and people yelling at the Celtics game. For some reason, Bath and Body Works only has the single-wick one, but I found the three-wick large one here. Oh, and the body wash here! Insert praise hands.

4. Nine Perfect Strangers

I had forgotten what an incredible storyteller Liane Moriarty is. I loved her books, What Alice Forgot, Big, Little Lies, and Truly, Madly, Guilty. I grabbed Nine Perfect Strangers because I'm trying to read more fiction in 2021. This is great so far and keeps me from scrolling my phone as often at night. Which is another goal of mine in 2021. If you haven't read her books, go get one. 

5. This Woman

My mouth was wide open the entire time Amanda Gorman spoke. Oh my goodness, gracious. Her words, of course, but her poise, her confidence, her beautiful, glowing face and THAT COAT. I'm still not over it.
