5 Friday Favorites: February 26, 2021

It's time for my Friday link up with A Little Bit of Everything and Momfessionals

On Fridays I share things that made me happy from the week - a photo, a song, a quote, a beauty product, a recipe, a pair of cute shoes, etc. If it's a product, sometimes it's something I actually own and sometimes something I just saw online that gave me a smile. Sometimes it's serious and sometimes it's silly. I suppose I believe that God is in the simple details of life and yes, I can even find Him
 in a tube of lipstick.

Happy Friday, Friends. Little crazy around here so this is going to be quick. I hope you found some favorite things this week. Here are some of mine.

1. Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah

I saw that Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah had been made into a Netflix series and I'm weird about not watching a show before I read the book. I started the book this week and it's good. So far it's not as serious or dramatic as her other books and since life is way too serious these days, I'm just fine with that.

2. Aerie Real Me High Waist Camo Leggings

I believe I mentioned these leggings before, but I need to again because they are the very best and they're on major sale right now. Originally, $44.95 and marked down to $17.98! These are so comfortable. They keep their shape and stay in place, but don't cut off your circulation like so many leggings do.

3. Green Striped Sweater

I haven't ordered this green striped sweater, but right around St. Patrick's Day, I start wanting all the green things. This would be perfect to wear while you drink a green beer or a Shamrock Shake.

4. Babe Lash Essential Serum

A few years ago I used the Rodan and Fields Lash Boost Serum and it really worked. However, it was super expensive. I heard about Babe Lash some where on Instagram and I tried it. It took about 4-6 weeks, but my lashes are definitely longer and fuller. I think these serums can affect everyone differently. Some people experience eye irritation, but I have not had any problems with this product. It is much more reasonably priced than other serums I've seen. I did find it on Amazon for a little less here, but have only ordered directly from the company here.

5. She Reads Truth Devotional

I read this devotional from shereadstruth.com on Wednesday and was, as usual, so amazed at how God shows up for me with exactly the right words. If you're in the business of trying to be brave enough and faithful enough to ask God for big things, I hope these words from Kaitie Stoddard will resonate with you like they did for me.

"Are we afraid to ask God for the impossible? If God has commissioned us to do a work, we need to trust that He will see His plan through. We can ask our Father for miracles, believing that however He answers our prayers, He does so with love. We may not always get the result we’d hoped for, but that doesn’t mean we should stop asking. God tells us to “approach the throne of grace with boldness,” confident in our relationship with Jesus (Hebrews 4:16). We serve a God with the power to move mountains, stop the sun from setting, and give us eternal life. Why shouldn’t we ask?"

Have a great weekend, Friends. I'm so grateful that you stop by. :-)
