In a search for the best Bible verses for weddings there are some beautiful ones that pop up on the screen. Paul's very well known words about love in Corinthians. The verses in Ecclesiastes about two being better than one. And the beautiful words of loyalty and commitment in the book of Ruth.
Today, on the 50th anniversary of the wedding of my parents, I thought of those verses, but Psalm 126:3 is the one I keep thinking about this morning.

The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy.
The Lord did a great thing on August 15, 1964. And in the fifty years after that day my parents have touched countless lives with their example of loyalty, strength, commitment and love during days that were sometimes full of blessings and sometimes full of brokenness.
Great things these two have done with the help of their God. Great, great things. And I am filled up with joy.
Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad. You are extraordinary.
