Livin' on a Prayer (and very little sleep)

Y'all.

I don't have the Daybook in me today.  It's already late in the day and I got home from the Bon Jovi concert at 1:15 am.  I know.  Who do I think I am?

My alarm went off at 6:15 am and I thought to myself, "I'm, like, totally skipping my 8:00 am ECON class because, like, I'm so sure that anyone gets up to go to class the morning after Bon Jovi."

But then I realized that Cinderella's glass coach had turned into a pumpkin.

Shot through the heart, people.

I got up and poured cereal and doled out vitamins and packed lunches.

So, for today, just let me say that words are really inadequate here.  My thesaurus just does not have enough synonyms to describe the pure happiness that is the Bon Jovi concert for me.  That man just does not disappoint.  He's still got it, friends.  And he let my girls, Jayme and Sherri and I, believe that we've still got it, too.  We screamed and danced and jumped and shouted while our husbands stood stoic and pretended that they weren't hyperventilating just like we were when Jon walked right in front of us and put out his hands. Sherri and Jayme both were able to touch his hand.  I'm not resentful at all.  It's just that I'm not inviting anyone who has longer arms than me to join me at a Bon Jovi concert ever, ever again.

Just kidding, gals.

I must give a big shout out to my mom who stayed with our kids and to our friend, John-with-an-H who continues to keep my "season tickets" available each time Jon-without-an-H comes to DC.  There is a special place in heaven for John-with-an-H because he surely knows he will get a pleading email from me each time the boys from Jersey announce their tour dates.  Thank you for not putting a block on my emails.  You are THE BEST.

This is Jenn Bon Jovi signing off.  Until we meet again, Jon . . . I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I riiiiiiddddeee!

*Photo credit and thanks to Sherri for bringing her real camera to the show since Jon's head looks like a 75 watt lightbulb in all my Iphone shots.

Please tell Mrs. Pratt that it is more exciting to have her in town than Bon Jovi in town!!! I need to be front row with her before she leaves this time.
Love,
Mrs. C.
