{this moment}: Day 16: Resolution Fail

{this moment}:  A Friday ritual.  A single photo - a few excuses - of a moment from the weak week.  A simple, desperate, extraordinary moment.  A moment I want to admit, but then justify and rationalize.

Ok, here's the deal.  I had bought these Diet Cokes to take to our family ski weekend for my brothers and sisters-in-law and husband and nieces and what not.  And I bought those little bitty ones which always confused me because what's the point of buying a little bitty one when you can buy a normal person sized one?  I was not going to partake in the little bitty Diet Cokes.  I was going to stick it out for the rest of the month.  But packing a whole family for a ski weekend in one day what with the fact that I am a professional procrastinator who just realized that everybody went and grew 2-7 inches since last year caused me to have to scramble for boots and pants and gloves and gave me a giant headache.  (I know.  Cry me a river.)  Anyway, I opened it and I drank some, but not even the whole little bitty Diet Coke.  I poured 3/4 of it down the drain which I think is some kind of miracle and means that I have willpower of steel.

So, hopefully I will be able to make it through the rest of the weekend and month without any more Diet Coke even with these little bitty ones staring me in the face.  And to those of you who missed the post about the first ski trip my man and I took in 17 years last January, you can read about that in part one HERE and part two HERE.  And to those of you who remember those posts, I just have one thing to say: WORD.

Happy Weekend, Friends!

Slip ups happen! I am impressed that you poured the majority of the Coke down the drain AND you shared the story with us. Bravo to you!
